We are looking for an experienced Engineer-Mate to join the permanent or rotational crew of a new superyacht scheduled for completion in early July. The yacht will be crewed year-round.
The Engineer–Mate will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of the yacht’s engines, equipment, and technical systems, arranging and carrying out regular maintenance and repairs, and maintaining technical documentation. The role also includes navigational watchkeeping, assisting with the operation of the yacht, mooring and manoeuvring duties, and other daily crew responsibilities.
Candidate requirements:
- a relevant marine engineering, deck officer, or other maritime qualification suitable for the position;
- extensive seagoing experience;
- previous experience aboard a larger motor or sailing yacht;
- good knowledge of marine engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, water systems, and other onboard technical systems;
- experience planning and carrying out maintenance and repair work;
- willingness and ability to perform navigational and watchkeeping duties;
- excellent command of English;
- a responsible, organised, and cooperative approach to work;
- willingness to interact professionally and courteously with guests when required.
